A brief tour of the Ford Taurus SHO, one of the fastest production sedans ever made. Some links to SHO resources on the Web included. Curses on Ford for abandoning this gem!
Not much here at this point. I want to add some more but for now,
you can't beat the link to the SHOTimes FAQ webpage. It is the central
resource for everything to do with this car:
My '92 has almost 90k miles on it now and is still on the original clutch! (Imagine that...) I have done some modifications, but am not a total nut like some of the guys I know in the Minnesota SHO club. My list of mods includes Koni struts, some Urethane bushings, the '96 brake upgrade including stainless steel brake lines (F&R), and solid subframe bushings, made from Delrin by Mike Courtney in his garage at Courtney's Truck Repair in Eden Prarie (don't let the name fool you). Mike can be found in the Mechanics' Hall of Fame on the SHOTime FAQ page. I highly recommend him for anyone with SHO-trouble in the Twin Cities area as most mechanics don't have a clue how to fix these cars.
