Lori's Yarn Holder

yarnholder.jpg

This is my own original design. You may use this pattern for your own personal use. Please don't post the pattern on other sites, but you're welcome to link to my site. I hope you'll enjoy the pattern!

Materials:

Small amount of worsted weight yarn
Size G crochet hook

Take a 2-liter bottle and cut off the bottom (about 2 inches). Use a hole puncher to make holes evenly spaced around the edge. (Mine had 47 holes.)

Round 1: Join yarn with a sc in any hole, and sc in each hole around bottle, joining with a sl st to first sc.

Rounds 2 - 13: Ch 1, sc in first sc and in each sc around, join to first sc.

Round 14: Ch 1, sc in first sc, *ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * around, ch 1 and join with slip st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

To make drawstring: Chain 100 and finish off. Weave through chain spaces on round 14. Insert skein of yarn, feeding yarn end through neck of bottle and pull drawstring to close, tying in a bow.

Enjoy, and happy crocheting!
